About Us

I started my surveying career in 1970 by working with the North Carolina Geodetic Survey Department.  One of my first jobs was working with a surveyor setting a brass survey control disk on top of Grandfather Mountain.  I soon realized that being outdoors and working closely with clients was something that I wanted to spend the rest of my life doing.

January 1978 was the beginning of my surveying career in Orange County.  I started with a dream, a small office, and a couple of great employees that over the years grew to nearly 50.  For those 30 years I had the pleasure of working with hundreds of local clients and government agencies on survey projects from the mountains to the coast.  I never got tired of seeing new places and meeting new people.

At this time on June 5, 2019, I am now retired after over 40 years of surveying.

It has been a hard decision to make, but this life changing event has forced me to rethink how to spend the rest of my years that I have been blessed with.
